Abstract: In view of the problem that the evacuation staircases on the first floor of large commercial complexes that cannot directly lead to the outdoors, this paper proposes solutions such as adopting the pedestrian street mode, setting up refuge walkways and setting up enlarged front rooms based on engineering practice. Taking a large commercial complex as an example, the problem that the evacuation staircase on the first floor that cannot directly lead to the outside is analyzed and researched, an optimization scheme is proposed, and the feasibility of the scheme is judged by numerical simulation software. This paper provides reasonable suggestions for the architectural design of large commercial complexes, and also provides references for the fire protection design of similar projects.
