Abstract: Abstract: In order to test the fire-extinguishing effect of macromolecule hydrogel fire-extinguishing agent in the fire-fighting of buildings, a kind of fire-fighting test in GB 17835-2008,Water System Fire-extinguishing Agent was used as reference, and a wooden crib test platform was set up, under the same conditions, the fire suppression effects of two kinds of fire extinguishing agents, macromolecule hydrogel and water, were compared and tested in the building fire with the simulated fire load density of 2 395.008 MJ/m2(equivalent to the fire load of a clothing store), the fire-extinguishing intensity of the polymer hydrogel fire-extinguishing agent in building fire-fighting is calculated by using the correlation relations of vehicle pump pressure and flow rate. The results show that the fire extinguishing time of polymer hydrogel is shorter than that of water, and its effect is better than that of water. At the same time, according to the relevant calculation, the fire-fighting intensity of the polymer hydrogel fire-extinguishing agent is about 0.059 L/(s.m2).
