Abstract: In order to understand the overall situation of the field of fire risk assessment, this paper searched CNKI and Web of Science databases, analyzed 1 250 literatures from 1999 to 2020 based on the CiteSpace software, and drew its knowledge map. The results show that the number of publications about fire risk analysis is increasing steadily; the high-yield core authors are Tian Yu-min and Matthew P. Thompson; the core institutions are the Chinese People’s Armed Police Forces Academy (China People's Police University now)and University of Science and Technology of China; the high-yield core countries are China and the United States; and through the comprehensive analysis of key words, it is concluded that the hot spots of future research mainly include the following aspects: in theoretical research, the randomness and uncertainty of fire will continue to be studied; in terms of assessment methods, a fire risk assessment method based on the law of fire dual attributes will be constructed; in terms of evaluation practice, intelligent evaluation software will be developed.
